Red Chair spends weekend at Red Hill

Saturday morning, September 14, I drove to Frederick to meet Eileen Hoover from Lighthouse Farm B&B.  “Red” had been in Gettysburg for several days and was packed up and ready to visit Southern Washington County, Maryland.    As soon as I parked and got settled there was Eileen, reaching in her trunk to carefully take Red out for his next leg of his journey across the United States.  Traveling with Red was a journal, documenting where Red had been for the last few months.Red Chair Travels 068

After some brief conversation I gently put Red in the back of my Kia for the beautiful drive over the hills of Frederick & Washington County.

We made a few stops on our way to Red Hill.Red Chair Travels 069

After climbing Braddock Mountain I couldn’t resist making a stop at the Washington Monument.

From there we continued through the town of Boonsboro and as we approached Keedysville, home of Red Hill, I couldn’t resisit taking a welcome to Keedysville picture on Rt. 34.Red Chair Travels 070Red Chair Travels 071
