Cyclists & Hikers visit Red Hill in October

October 28th, 2013 by Cindy Neugebauer

October Visits at Red Hill 004Dennis & Lisa arrived at Antietam Battlefield after cycling from Pittsburgh.  They took a horse & carriage ride around Antietam.  How cool is that?I brought them to Captain Bender’s for dinner then back to Red Hill for some rest and relaxation.

Monday morning they were off a riding from Snyder’s Landing for the last part of their trip to Georgetown.  Dennis & Lisa came here from Fullerton, California.

October Visits at Red Hill 005

Fall is such a beautiful time to be on the C&O Canal!  Sunday afternoon I picked up hikers Dennis and Susan.  They celebrated their 60th Birthdays by hiking from Williamsport to Georgetown.  They came back to Red Hill

for a hot bowl of black bean soup, tossed salad, and freshly baked wheat bread for dinner.   What special folks!!
